What exactly is MiKuWi, and who is behind it?
MiKuWi is a joint project aimed at improving animal health on dairy farms. The focus is on extending the productive life of dairy cows and reducing calf mortality. Our aim is to present knowledge in a practical, accessible and relevant way, so that it resonates more effectively with the realities of farming and is actually put into practice.
“We” refers to the Thuringian Animal Disease Fund, Justus Liebig University Giessen (Department of Reproductive Medicine and Neonatology and the Chair of Communication and Counselling), the Centre for Applied Research and Technology Dresden, and the cattle health services of Saxony, Baden-Württemberg and Saxony-Anhalt.
